Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making a reservation at or visiting SKY HOTEL NUWARAELIYA. By completing a booking or by accessing and using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with your booking or use of our services.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

  • "Hotel", "we", "us", "our" refers to SKY HOTEL NUWARAELIYA, located at 123 Lake Drive, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka.
  • "Guest", "you", "your" refers to any individual who makes a reservation, visits the Hotel, or uses our website.
  • "Booking" or "Reservation" refers to a confirmed agreement to provide accommodation and/or services at the Hotel.
  • "Services" includes all accommodation, dining, spa, recreational, and ancillary services offered by the Hotel.
  • "Website" refers to our official website at https://www.one.yalayewontours.com.

2. Booking Terms

By completing a reservation, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
  • All information provided during the booking process is accurate, current, and complete.
  • You accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of yourself and all members of your party.

A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation email from the Hotel containing your unique booking reference number. The Hotel reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking at its discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud or misrepresentation.

Rates and availability shown on our website are subject to change until a booking is confirmed. The Hotel is not liable for any system errors that may display inaccurate pricing; in such cases, you will be notified before any charge is processed.

3. Cancellation & Modification Policy

Standard Rate Reservations

  • 72 hours or more before arrival: Full refund of any deposit paid.
  • Within 72 hours of arrival: The first night's room rate is non-refundable.
  • No-show: The full booking amount is charged.

Non-Refundable / Promotional Rates

Reservations made under non-refundable or promotional rate plans are charged in full at the time of booking and are not eligible for refund or modification under any circumstances.

Peak Season & Special Packages

Bookings for the peak festive season (20 December 5 January), the Esala Perahera period, and all bespoke packages are subject to individual cancellation terms communicated at time of booking. These may require a non-refundable deposit of up to the full booking value.

Modification Requests

Requests to modify dates, room type, or guest numbers are subject to availability and may result in a rate adjustment. Please contact our reservations team at least 72 hours before your scheduled arrival to discuss any changes.

Force Majeure

In exceptional circumstances beyond the Hotel's reasonable control (including but not limited to natural disasters, government-mandated travel restrictions, or public health emergencies), the Hotel will make every reasonable effort to offer an alternative date or a credit voucher. Refunds in such circumstances are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

4. Rates & Payment

  • All published rates are per room, per night, in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
  • Applicable government taxes (currently 10% in Sri Lanka) and service charges will be added to all rates and will be clearly displayed at the time of booking.
  • A valid credit or debit card is required at check-in as a security deposit for incidental charges. The pre-authorisation amount will be determined by the length of stay.
  • The Hotel accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payment in cash (USD, LKR, EUR) is accepted at the Front Desk.
  • The Hotel is not responsible for any currency conversion charges levied by your bank or card issuer.

5. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in time: 14:00 (rooms are guaranteed to be available from this time).
  • Check-out time: 12:00 (guests must vacate their rooms by this time).
  • All guests must present a valid government-issued photo identification (passport or national ID card) upon check-in.
  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Please request these at least 48 hours in advance.
  • The Hotel reserves the right to refuse check-in to any guest who does not present valid identification or a valid payment method.

6. Guest Conduct

SKY HOTEL NUWARAELIYA is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all guests and staff. Guests are expected to:

  • Conduct themselves in a manner that does not disturb or endanger other guests, staff, or the wider community.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Sri Lanka during their stay.
  • Respect the Hotel's no-smoking policy in all indoor areas. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available.
  • Treat all Hotel property with due care. Guests will be held financially responsible for any deliberate or negligent damage caused to rooms, furnishings, or Hotel property.
  • Keep noise to a reasonable level between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM to respect the comfort of other guests.
  • Not bring weapons, illegal substances, or hazardous materials onto Hotel premises.

The Hotel reserves the right to request the immediate departure of any guest whose conduct is deemed disruptive, threatening, or in violation of these terms, without refund of any unused portion of their stay.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Hotel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your stay or use of our website.
  • The Hotel's total liability to any guest shall not exceed the total amount paid by that guest for the relevant booking.
  • The Hotel is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings left in guest rooms, public areas, or vehicle parking. In-room safes are provided for valuables.
  • While the Hotel takes all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of website services or hotel systems.
  • Nothing in these terms limits the Hotel's liability for death or personal injury caused by our proven negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website including but not limited to text, photographs, graphics, logos, icons, audio clips, and software is the property of SKY HOTEL NUWARAELIYA or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, display, or transmit any content from this website without the express prior written consent of the Hotel. Limited reproduction for personal, non-commercial use is permitted provided attribution to the Hotel is clearly displayed.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. The collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions. By accepting these terms, you also acknowledge and accept our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms, or your stay at the Hotel, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

A failure by the Hotel to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision in the future.

11. Amendments to These Terms

The Hotel reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For reservations already confirmed at the time of an amendment, the terms in force at the date of booking will apply to that reservation.

We encourage you to review these terms before each booking. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
