Arrival & Departure

Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM and check-out is 12:00 Noon. We ask that guests vacate their room by noon to allow time for preparation for arriving guests. Early check-in and late check-out are available subject to availability please see the relevant questions below or contact our concierge team in advance.

Early check-in before 2:00 PM is available subject to room availability and may be subject to an additional half-day charge. We strongly recommend contacting us at least 48 hours before arrival so we can do our best to accommodate your request. Guests are welcome to use the hotel's public areas, including the restaurant, lounge, and pool, before their room is ready.

Late check-out until 6:00 PM can be requested and is subject to availability. A half-day room rate will apply. Requests for late check-out beyond 6:00 PM will be charged a full additional night's rate. Please speak to our Front Desk or concierge team the evening before departure to confirm availability.

Reservations & Cancellations

Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours will forfeit the first night's deposit. No-shows will be charged the full booking amount. For reservations made during peak season (DecemberJanuary and April) or special packages, individual cancellation terms apply and will be communicated at time of booking.

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payments can also be made via bank transfer. A valid credit card is required at check-in as a security deposit. Cash payments in USD, LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees), and EUR are also accepted at the Front Desk.

Dining

Breakfast inclusion varies by room type and rate plan. Our Bed & Breakfast packages include a complimentary x la carte breakfast served at the Lakeside Restaurant (7:00 AM 10:30 AM). Room-only rates do not include breakfast, but our restaurant is open to all guests and offers an exceptional morning spread. Please check your booking confirmation for your specific inclusions.

Facilities & Services

Spa treatments can be reserved via three convenient channels: through our concierge team in person or by telephone, by emailing spa@SKYHOTEL.com, or by calling our spa reception directly. We highly recommend booking in advance particularly for couples' treatments and signature Ayurvedic rituals as our therapists are frequently in high demand. A minimum of 24 hours' notice is preferred.

Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms, the lobby, restaurant, pool area, and all public spaces. Your personal Wi-Fi credentials will be provided upon check-in. If you experience any connectivity issues during your stay, please contact our Front Desk and our technical team will assist you promptly.

Yes. We offer private airport transfer services to and from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in Colombo, as well as Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport. Transfers are conducted in air-conditioned luxury vehicles and are available 24 hours a day. Rates vary based on vehicle type and journey timing. Please contact our concierge at least 48 hours prior to arrival to arrange your transfer.

Complimentary valet parking is available for all in-house guests. Our valet team operates from 6:00 AM to midnight, with secure overnight parking available for vehicles arriving after midnight. Self-parking is also available in our secured car park adjacent to the hotel. Please inform our team upon arrival if you are travelling with a vehicle.

Hotel Policies

We warmly welcome well-behaved dogs and cats in designated pet-friendly rooms (subject to availability). A pet supplement of $25 per night applies, which covers specialist cleaning and a welcome pet amenity kit. Pets must be kept on a leash in all public areas and are not permitted in the restaurant, spa, or pool areas. Please inform us of your furry companion at the time of booking.

SKY HOTEL NUWARAELIYA is a non-smoking property. Smoking including e-cigarettes and vaping is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas, including guest rooms, corridors, and restaurants. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available on the ground floor terrace and on the 6th-floor sky terrace. A deep-cleaning surcharge of $150 will be applied if smoking is detected within a guest room.

Children of all ages are warmly welcomed at The SKY HOTEL NUWARAELIYA. Children under 12 years of age stay free when sharing an existing bed with parents or guardians. Extra beds and cribs are available for a small nightly supplement. Our Luxury Family Suite is specifically designed for families with young children and includes a connecting children's room. A dedicated children's menu is available in the restaurant.

Accessibility

We are committed to making The SKY HOTEL NUWARAELIYA accessible to all guests. The hotel features step-free access from the main entrance via a dedicated ramp, accessible guest rooms with wider doorways and adapted bathrooms, elevator access to all floors, and staff trained to assist guests with disabilities.
